New Book
We have a great new book on the shelf here at Mosman. It’s called ‘Letters to a Bullied Girl’.
From the publisher’s web site:
‘Olivia Gardner, a northern California teenager, was severely taunted and cyber-bullied by her classmates for more than two years. News of her bullying spread, eventually reaching two teenage girls from a neighboring town, sisters Emily and Sarah Buder. The girls were so moved by Olivia’s story that they initiated a letter-writing campaign to help lift her spirits. It was a tender gesture of solidarity that set off an overwhelming chain reaction of support, encouragement, and love.’
Here’s a taste:
If bulling has touched you or someone in your life, this is a MUST READ!

Babysitting info
Have you been thinking about making some extra cash by babysitting?
The NSW Commission for Children and Young People has put together a free booklet to help you out. It has tips and info so you and the kid’s parents, feel confident about babysitting. It gives you things to think about like what you might do in case of an emergency and how to negotiate pay.
There is also a link to a handy checklist for the parents to fill out before you even get there (how impressed will they be with your professionalism?)
